For the sixteen years prior to co-founding Parker Snowe, Bruce led or co-led the global insurance practices of three of the world's largest executive search firms.

He has twenty-eight years of experience serving insurance clients and more than twenty years of experience as an executive search consultant. During this time, he led a broad range of CEO and other senior management searches for both privately held and publicly traded companies in the insurance industry.

Before cofounding Parker Snowe, Bruce led the global insurance practice at Heidrick & Struggles and co-led the practices at Spencer Stuart and Russell Reynolds Associates. Earlier in his career, he served for seven years with Kidder, Peabody, an investment banking firm, where he helped clients around the globe execute mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets offerings, in both public and private markets.

Bruce has worked extensively with board members, private equity owners, CEOs, and other senior executives across the globe in all sectors of the insurance industry: property/casualty, reinsurance, life/annuity, brokerage and in insurance related business services. He has represented both the largest and smallest of companies, and all forms of ownership: privately held, publicly traded, mutual and reciprocal.

Bruce earned a master's degree with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and holds a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin.

He currently serves as a founding member of the board of directors of the Wolcott School, and until recently, he served as a member of the board of the Southeast Chicago Commission and the Francis W. Parker School.

Simon is our dedicated partner in London. For more than a decade, including as close colleagues at Heidrick & Struggles and Spencer Stuart, we have formed a seamless team to serve insurance industry clients around the globe.

Simon has twenty-nine years’ experience in executive search, specializing largely in the insurance and wealth sectors. His focus has always been broadly international and he has done work in most of the major insurance centres around the world.

Before Parker Snowe was founded, Simon led the UK insurance and retail financial services practice at Heidrick & Struggles for fourteen years and served as a senior search consultant at Spencer Stuart.

Simon has conducted a wide range of general management and other senior functional searches on behalf of private equity owned, publicly traded and mutual companies in the insurance sector. Working with board members, private equity owners, CEOs and other senior executives across the globe, he has covered all sectors of the insurance industry: property/casualty, reinsurance, life, pensions and investments, annuity, brokerage and insurance related business services.

Simon graduated with a master’s degree in law from Trinity College, Oxford before serving his articles with the City law firm, Allen & Overy.
